Personality: Aemi is very quiet and solemn when it comes to people who annoy her and those she detests. She feels that they are insignificant to her attention and that she should focus on things more important. She feels the need to get stronger and to help her fellow vizards control their own masks, but she also is very serious about her devotion to the duties of a vizard. She feels that if her trainee doesn't take what she puts at hand seriously, then they are not worthy of being a vizard and that she refuses to train them. She's a very calm and collected being, and often thinks before she talks. She speaks when she needs to, and is seen as a rather wise vizard. She is not one for offense, but defense. That is her main signature, is her perfection in defense. When she is angry, often to her vizard team, she will firmly speak, telling them what they've done wrong, in an angered tone, and ignore them until they fix their mistake.
She is never seen smiling; with a real smile. She is often seen with her smirk, which she keeps to lie about her true emotions. Within herself, she feels solemn at all times, hardly feeling anything. She feels as though she's a freak and a failure to her past allies, which broke her confidence and trust for anyone; especially since her best friend so easily betrayed her when she was saught a Vizard. She hasn't truly smiled since her days at the Academy, where she was a bright young girl, which was at least a century before. She longs to find something to fight for and protect, and hopes that she is one day accepted as someone who is important in someone elses life.

Background Information

History: When Aemi was alive, she had lived during the 1800's where she was born into a royal family of England. She was known among many, and her father was the ambassador for the king of England. They lived royally in a large manor where she was often left to be taken care of by her servent; since her parents were such busy people. At a young age of 12, her mother died of an unknown desease and so she was left with even more neglectance since her mother had often came to see her when she was not at a party.

Living until she was only 15, her house had caught fire and her father was killed instantly. Her butler, attempting to save her had grabbed her and they immediately had gotten into a carriage. They started to head away into the forest, only to see that there were people who had been setting her house on fire, because they hated the monarchy so much and were trying to rid of it. They chased after them in the cold December night and after a while, they had gotten rid of their trail. Hiding and terrified, Aemi stayed close to her servent, who's name was Riddle. They stayed in the carriage for warmth and were staying hidden; but one of the villagers had caught there trail. In the night while they were sleeping, the villager threw an oiled lantern onto the carriage, catching fire and the two were inable to escape, causing them to choke from the smoke. Unconcious, she was unable to escape and that lead to her death.

Waking up in the Soul Society with no memories of her living, she had seen herself in Rukongai. She walked around, bewildered, unsure what she was supposed to do or how she had gotten there. She had no memories of anything, even her name (Which was Elena when she was a child of living). She was adopted into a family of Shinigami, who were part of the expiramentation squads, and her name was changed to Aemi. Joining the Academy, she learned to weild her Zanpakutou which she had awoken with. Quickly, she was able to learn its name and she became a prodigy of her age. She joined Squad 11, as 4th seat, and was often sent on missions which made her content since she seemed to enjoy sparring and battles. Unlike her personality today, at her life in the Soul Society, she was a bright young girl who had beautiful, long dark hair that she tied back while in combat. She was always smiling and giggly and made friends easily.

She made best friends with the squad member who was 3rd seat; in front of her. His name was Hatsuharu Innen. He was a bright young boy who had bright blonde hair and blue eyes, and he had a smile that could change anyone's mood. He was the only person Aemi trusted, and they were great friends who always stayed by each others' sides. They promised each other that they would protect each other with their life, ever since they met back at the academy and bonded right away. On their free time, they would go into Karakura town in their gigai forms and just sit around the park where the forest opened up. These memories often haunt Aemi now adays.

About 60 years after this, she had started to grow aches of pain and wasn't sure what was going on. She felt as though something was inside of her and that she was growing so much hatred for so many small things, which made her grow distant from her team. Finally confronting her captain about it, all signs didn't seem good, so they quarentined her, to make her angery, to see if their prediction was true. Right then, she had shown signs that there was hollowfication within her. Little did she know that her entire life living with the Shinigami she did, they were testing her with the hollowfication. She knew that she must have been a mistake.

Unsure how to handle being known as a newly called "VIZARD", as officially named from the scientific shinigami, she had gone to her closest friend, Hatsuharu for help. She wasn't sure what she was going to do and was desperate for any comfort she could find because she was scared for her life, if she had one anymore. She knew that she was probably classified as a dangerous being now; maybe even executable if she was feared enough. She quickly went to him, crying, unsure what she was going to do, and Hatsuharu simply stared at her with a blank, yet pained expression. He shook his head looking down, unsure what to say and Aemi started to get more nervous. She later found that because of the expiramenting, whenever she is angry or nervous, her eyes will glow yellow and X's will crease on her forehead, for unexplained reasons.

As Hatsuharu looked back up at her best friend, he shook his head once more, unsheathing his Zanpakutou, whispering these words to her. "Aemi... I'm sorry... orders are orders... and you're a threat to our kind." When he said this, Aemi's heart skipped a beat as she took a step back, suddenly fearful more than she's ever been. She felt herself suddenly break as her eyes widened, and her breath stopped. She looked around in silence as her other teammates suddenly arrived, behind Hatsuharu, all weilding their Zanpakutous. She then did the one thing she could only think of.

Run.

Banished from her friends who found her as a threat to their lives, she felt outcasted and knew that she would never belong and would be killed. Finding her way into Karakura Town, she knew that she would be recognized if she stayed in her clothing. She immediately changed into a new style; thigh high striped socks, flats, a ruffled shirt, and a red ribbon. She then did the one thing she always dreaded to do. She took scissors to her hair and sliced it all off, leaving her with choppy, uneven short, spikey hair. As time passed, she met people who seemed to have strange energy like her. She found others as herself. Vizards.

The vizards immediately welcomed her with open arms and trained her to control her hollowfication, which she was one of the quickest to do so, only taking seven days. As centuries past, she became one of the most trusted Vizards in the warehouse. She became the captain of the vizards' assistant. Now being the one to help train new vizards, she is seen as one of the toughest, yet most looked over. Because of her appearance of a small girl with a dark side, she is often looked apon as a quiet, shy, and weak little girl, when really, she is one of the most aggressive.

Aemi now, broken from the past event is always seen as a rough girl with a cold exterior. She is often seen with a scowl or a fake smirk, and is always quiet unless directed to speak, or when she feels she has something to say. She speaks her mind and is very stubborn and strict about hollowfication. Even if it was a curse to her life, she feels it as well brings an emmense power that can be tamed for good. She gets annoyed and angered easily, which she often bottles up. She has bottled up all emotions for about a century and does not plan on releasing it to anyone, ever. Her lack of trust is her only weakness, yet she devotes her loyalty to the Vizard Commander, who she follows whole-heartedly. She still has a very limited ammount of patience and graciousness. She has a very "darkness in her heart", as she puts it, that she must often conceal while around others.

Aemi's opinion on the other races is very numbered. She has different feelings about each seperate race, but in her mind, each are all filthy in their own ways. To her, humans are sad creatures that are insignificant in many ways. She finds them sad and hardly ever has the compassion to spare one. Arrancars and Hollows to her, are very interesting creatures. She learned on how they are created; from the darkness in their heart. She thinks it's very peculiar that she had not ended up as one of them; instead becoming a Shinigami, of kindness in their heart. Then there are Shinigami. She has mixed feelings about them, but she knows never to trust them. They claim to their "kindness" whole heartedly, yet their duties don't seem very kind at all. She pities their slavery they put forward, and feel that they are just puppets trying to please their master, regardless of whether it's right or wrong. Bounts, she had never seen before, but she feels that their entire race and specialty areas are "acts of stupidity" and "trying to be godly". Aemi absolutely despises Quincies. She feels that they are only humans trying to act as destructive, petty heroes, when they are only a nuiscense. She also has no emotion for what she feels about Vizard. Whenever someone asks how she feels, she simply explains, "I don't know yet."

Due to the darkness in Aemi's heart, she often is seen in a "scowl" or emotionless trance. If she were to be angered enough, annoyed enough, or pushed enough, she will get angry and cannot control what she does; regardless if it hurts others around her or not. The angrier she gets, the more she feels she needs to kill, and because of her power level, it is easy for her to kill on the spot without warning. She relies on the Captain Commander to keep her in check if need be. Even if she is perfectly able to synchronize with her Hollow Mask, it still can cause the darkness within her to escape and turn her into the bigger monster than the hollow within her itself. She knows that if she uses her mask for too long, things could get messy, and chooses to not use it as often as needed.

Aemi soon found that the secret behind her eyes turning yellow, her skin darkening, and the X's on her forehead were a special ability that came along with the expiramenting. Using the yellow eyes she possesses, she can stare into the very soul of someone near her, reading their heart; which would be their desires, their hopes, and who they truly are.

Unlike most Zanpakutou, Aemi's is meant for defence only. It's umbrella hood acts as a shield to protect her from an enemy's blade and she can use it to protect herself from its long distance attacks. She often uses Amagasa to fly on when she is too lazy to walk somewhere. She often keeps her Zanpakutou in shikai form instead of its sealed form.

Kuro Ame (Black Rain)
This attack allows Aemi to open her umbrella, allowing black rain to scatter around her opponent, which will temporarily paralyze the opponent. Depending on how far away they are, it could paralyze them from 5 seconds up to 5 minutes. The downfall of this technique is that she must remain touching the ground for it to allow them to stay paralyzed up to her wanted time limit.

Ame Amagasa (Rain Umbrella)
Twirling her opened umbrella in circles, it will begin to glow into a dark blue tint as ran will begin falling over herself and her opponent. Soon the rain will freeze into small pieces of sharp hail and she will hide under her umbrella for protection as she then goes over to attack her opponent.

Dance of the Umbrella
Aemi will run toward her opponent, twirling Amagasa around which then causes ice spikes to form around herself and her opponent. They will slowly sink, pointing toward their opponent, and when Aemi does the finishing move to her dance, she will jump in the air, while the ice spikes shoot at her opponent like torpedos.

Umbrella Prison
Aemi will lock eyes with her opponent, opening her umbrella and saying the words "Umbrella Prison". Tiny umbrellas will then surround her opponent and open around him/her. They will all connect as one big shield, which will prison the target with hoods as strong as steal, almost impossible to escape from. The downside of this ability is that Aemi must remain with both feet on the ground at all times for this to continue to hold.

Dragon Tide
Raising her umbrella high in the air, she releases it and it causes her to float toward the sky. Soon rain will begin falling at an emmense speed, and water will flood the area, suddenly causing a large, dangerous tidel wave that will engulf the victim.

Rising Geizer
Running around her opponent, Aemi will tap the ground with her umbrella's pumpkin head, which will cause it to then erupt a large, boiling hot geizer that sprays toward the opponent.

Increased Spiritual Pressure
Because of her strength and the way she conceals her power, she was able to train what she found to be her spiritual pressure. Because she's known as "Second Best" Vizard, next to the commander, she has a very high reitsu and energy level; especially for one who looks so young. She is very leveled with this, and does not often try to release too much of her pressure while in shikai; especially if it is a more dangerous opponent; which she saves it for her final blow.

Increased Speed
With more focus while her shikai is in form, she uses most of her energy for dodges and defense, more than offense. Because of this, she was able to upgrade her agility and stealth level. She is known for one of the fastest shunpo's seen, next to Captain Commander, some captains of the shinigami, and of course, Vizard Commander.

With this bankai technique, she can use all of her shikai techniques and her new ones.

Hell Umbrella Strike
Aemi will run toward her opponent and chant the title of the ability and her blade will begin to glow. She then will strike at her opponent, while tiny umbrellas form around him/her to make them unable to escape.

Glass Rain
Rain will pour over herself and her opponent as it will then form a sheild around the two, like a force field. Raising her blade in the air, it will then freeze all the rain, regardless of if it is still in the air or not, and she will then point her finger of her free hand toward her opponent. The rain will then, at full speed, dart toward the opponent, while he has no way of escaping the glass container. When they get too close to the edge of the container, it will then shatter, the objective to impale the victim with the loose shards flying around them, including the glass rain tailing them.

Liquid Ice
While it rains on Aemi and her opponent, she will make sure that her opponent is completely soaked from the rain. As they are preparing to fight, she will then call out "Liquid Ice", which then all the water that covers her opponent's body will freeze, causing them to paralyze. It only can last for as long as the opponent's rietsu can withstand it, and she will attempt to slice at them.

Karite no Tsuki (Reaper of the Moon)
Aemi will charge up her attack within her Bankai and charge at her opponent in an extremely powerful shunpou, circling them to confuse them at her full speed. As second best Vizard, it will be very difficult to spot her. She then will raise her Zanpakutou toward the moon as she continues to run, and it will begin to glow a deep purple as she then swings it foward, into her opponent's spine area.

Naraku Amagasa Karite no Tsuki (Hell Umbrella Reaper of the Moon)
Aemi will begin meditating, sitting on her Bankai formed Zanpaktou like she does with her shikai while in flight. As she meditates, her eyes will glow yellow and she she will look at her opponent doing a handsign for "snake", which is a ritual taught to her by her shinigami friends. She then will shunpou toward her opponent and Umbrellas will form around him to keep him caught straight. The objective for Aemi is to then strike her opponent with her blade--but not a blowing strike to kill them. Any inscisions she makes on their body will then cause an undying pain that feels as though they are burning in eternal flames, which will last for as long as they are caught in the umbrellas; and then it will only ache for several hours afterward.

Rising Spiritual Pressure
Because her spiritual pressure must now escape fully, she is known for having a rather heavy coat of it. Not as high as Vizard Commander, but very well up there, she is a fearsom opponent to those weaker than her because of the overwhelming pressure of her spiritual energy.

Water Morph
A defense only lasting two posts, with a wave of Aemi's hand, her body will appear to look normal, but if pierced, the weapon goes right through her as if it's water. This uses an incredible ammount of energy, and only uses it against powerful opponents.

Hollow Powers: Aemi, in hollow form is able to contract poison with her water techniques used by her Zanpakutou. It also increases her strength and speed. It as well allows her to manipulate the water around her, to mend it as any shape she pleases.

Overwhelming Spiritual Pressure
While in Vizard Form, Aemi's spiritual pressure is well past its predicted limit for someone as small and powered as her. She often does not ever go into her Vizard Mask, unless threatened enough, or angered enough. She is one who does not care for the mercy of others and will kill without a second thought; which will often send her into a ludicrous ammount of rage. With her abilities, it is unpredictable to how far her level rises; but the more angry she gets, the higher her pressure rises, which can become far too heavy to handle if she is angered enough. This here proves that if she were angry enough, she could become a dangerous enemy.

Personality Change: Aemi is seen as darker and more wise with her power. She knows when and how to limit herself so that she can put her all into her fatal attacks. She never attacks first when in hollow form, and is often seen staring down her opponent, as if trying to scare him away before trying any moves.

Secret/Special Ability: Aemi will gain a sonic scream where she will look into the sky and scream at the top of her lungs. The scream is so high pitched, it can knock the weak-minded unconscious, and will cause a distraction to avoid conflict with her team if they are outnumbered.
